Like 是一个介词。它后面必须始终有宾语。

  Your brother is like you.
 你的兄弟像你。
  What is your father like?  你的父亲什么样？
  They are alike.
 他们相似。

  They appear to be different.
 他们看来不同。
  They seem to be almost the same.

John eats more than Jason.

as ... as ...

 

Will is as old as Jeff.
 威尔和杰夫一样大。
  Joseph is as strong as Daniel.
 乔瑟夫和丹尼尔一样健壮。
  Linda isn't as old as Patricia.
 林达没有帕特莉莎一样老。

副词相等、比较方法一样。

  Mark runs as quickly as Kenneth.
 马克跑的和肯尼瑟一样快。
  Paul doesn't walk as slowly as Karen.
 保罗走的不象凯琳一样慢。
  Anthony doesn't speak as well as Dorothy.
 安多尼说话没有多罗希说得好。

Just和almost用在肯定句中。Quite用 在否定句中。

  I'm just as strong as you.
我跟你一样强壮
  He's almost as mean as George.
他几乎和乔治一样可鄙。
  He isn't quite as friendly as my brother.
他不象我的兄弟一样友好。
  She isn't quite as tall as Elizabeth.
她没有伊莉莎白高。
