The preposition in is used with continents, countries, and cities.

  She is in Europe.
 
  They are in England right now.
 
  We are in Philadelphia.
 

Usually to express location at a local in the city you use the preposition at.

  He is at the hotel.
 
  They are at a restaurant.
 
  She is at the corner of Main Street and 6th street.
  We're at the park.
 
  I'm at the store now.
 

However you can also use a preposition that expresses more precision.

  You're outside the library.
 
  She's inside the store.
 
  They're in the park.

The article the is often left out before home, work, school, jail, and church.

You should use in to express location for the following places.

  You're in the neighborhood.
 
  I'm in the parking lot.
