Non-pronounced Final Consonants

Most consonants that come at the very end of a word are not pronounced.

Masculine and feminine adjectives are distinguised from each other by the pronuciation or non-pronunciation of the final consonant. The addition of an e at the end of the feminine adjective makes the final consonant pronounced (see the Adjective section).

Pronounced Final Consonants

The final consonants of many word are pronounced. The consonants c, r, f, orl (careful) in particular are often pronounced.
